54th Annual Asaba Massacre Memorial Anniversary — commemorating the lives lost in October 1967.
In October 2021, the Asaba community gathered to mark the 54th anniversary of the tragic events of October 1967. The commemoration featured a symposium, addresses from distinguished guests, cultural performances, and tributes to the victims and their families.
The event was chaired by Chuck Nduka-Eze, the Isama Ajie of Asaba, and featured keynote addresses from HRH Asagba of Asaba Prof. Chike Edozien CFR, the Omu of Asaba Chief Dr. Ada Biosah, and Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, among others.
